Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a dependable part-time Evening Reporting Center Advocate to serve youth and families across Harris County, with roles in the evenings or weekends as needed.

Primary responsibilities include initiating, organizing, planning, developing and delivering direct advocacy services for participants and their families, using a strength-based wraparound model, and acting as a positive role model in the community, school, and home settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families in community, school, and home settings.
• Experience with community-based services and knowledge of community resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and using computers.
• Experience using an EHR system is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Harris County are available for the Evening Reporting Center

• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.

Position offers weekly pay, direct deposit, mileage, and activity reimbursement.

Availability: Flexible non-traditional hours - may require evenings and weekends

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field is preferred.
• Prior Experience working with at-risk youth and families in a community, school, and home setting
• Experience working in community-based services and knowledge of community resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and using computers
