Job summary

Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is seeking a Program Manager for the Center for Advocacy and Learning in Alabama to advance community-centered training and leadership development. You will design curricula, localize workshops, facilitate trainings, and expand train-the-trainer capacity across Alabama.

You will collaborate with community leaders and internal teams to reflect local needs and strengthen advocacy education, with a remote-friendly work design and ongoing program improvements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of community education, program management, coalition and group facilitation, or related field, including direct experience designing curriculum or training programs.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and refine the advocacy and leadership development curriculum for Alabama communities.
  • Develop and facilitate workshops and leadership opportunities for cohort members and partners.
  • Build and lead a train-the-trainer program with clear facilitation standards and materials.
  • Identify, recruit, and support trainers, speakers, and subject matter experts.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of cohort members and maintain alumni connections.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to align initiatives with organizational priorities and local partners.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the job classification.
