Job summary

Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties is seeking an Advocacy Communications Manager to lead strategic communications that frame housing policy for policymakers and the public in the Bellevue/Seattle area. You will oversee a small team and collaborate across departments to shape messaging and materials for campaigns, events, and digital channels.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least five years in communications, and three years in a supervisory

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, public affairs or related field.
• Experience: Minimum five years in Communications or related field.
• Management: Minimum three years of experience managing a team.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office; proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Squarespace, CSS/HTML, and email design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic, member-focused communications that advance MBAKS advocacy priorities.
• Contribute to a culture of excellence within the team.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports and collaborate across staff on projects.
• Develop and maintain processes, tools and behaviors to support stakeholders with timely, high-quality deliverables.
