Job summary

Bombardier Transportation is seeking an Advisor Technical Learning to support learning initiatives in our Wichita center. The role will involve delivering assessments, coaching, and training to elevate technical performance across teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive aviation experience, strong coaching abilities, and a proven track record in Lean/continuous improvement. Collaboration with unions and cross-functional partners is essential in this day-shift role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in corporate aviation.
• 0–2 years of experience with learning activities (coaching/training).
• Technical degree and/or aircraft-related certifications or equivalent experience in coaching/facilitation.
• High level of technical competency and credibility.
• Experience in a unionized environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to influence without authority and develop results-oriented action plans.
• Team player with Lean and/or continuous improvement experience.
• Self-directed with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of MS Office or similar software databases.
• Bi-lingual in French and English is preferred.

• Deliver technical skills assessments and propose learning activities.
• Provide technical coaching using multiple processes.
• Provide training on technical coaching.
• Deliver effective learning interventions (coaching, classroom training, etc.).
• Participate in problem-solving discussions on human performance issues.
• Assist Technical Learning Agents with key tasks as needed.

How to thrive in this role?

• You typically have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate aviation in a hands-on technical role
• You typically have a minimum of 0-2 years of experience involved with learning activities (i.e., coaching and / or technical training)
• You have a Technical degree and /or aircraft related certifications and licenses and / or equivalent experience in coaching / facilitator training
• You have a recognized high level of technical competency and credibility
• You have experience working in a unionized environment
• You have excellent relational competencies, with capacity to listen and communicate well (written and spoken)
• You have the ability to build solid relationships based on mutual trust
• You have the ability to influence without authority and develop results oriented action plans
• You are a team player
• You have experience in Lean and / or continuous improvement concepts
• You are motivated and self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• You have working knowledge of MS Office Suite or other software databases
• You are bi-lingual in French and English - preferred
