Job summary

Cambridge Investment Research is seeking a Director, Advisor Growth & Development to partner with financial advisors, helping them grow their practices and maximize firm resources. The role blends leadership with hands-on consulting, practice management guidance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Based in Milton, GA with hybrid attendance, you will recruit new advisors, identify growth opportunities, deliver growth plans, lead meetings, and champion technology adoption within the firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business development, relationship management, consulting, financial services, or a related field.
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and drive business growth.
• Strong consultative selling, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience developing strategic business plans and growth initiatives.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and build partnerships across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support advisors and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and cultivate new advisor recruiting opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
• Identify business growth and cross-sell opportunities within existing advisor relationships.
• Serve as a dedicated relationship manager and trusted business partner to advisors.
• Deliver strategic consulting and actionable growth plans to support Advisor success.
• Provide guidance on practice management, business development, industry trends, and growth strategies.
• Conduct regular advisor meetings and office visits to strengthen relationships and increase engagement.
• Advocate for advisors by collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and enhance the advisor experience.
• Promote adoption of firm technology, resources, products, and support services.
• Present at conferences, meetings, and educational events.
• Maintain accurate activity tracking and relationship management documentation within CRM systems.
