Job summary

UN Women is seeking an Advisor to advance diversity and inclusion across the organization in New York. The role supports development and monitoring of D&I programmes, and collaborates with stakeholders to implement Executive Board recommendations on organizational culture and anti-racism.

The position emphasizes analytics, policy development, and partnerships with UN agencies and external leaders to promote gender equality and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, gender, international development, business administration, management, economics or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in gender equality, public policy, social justice or human rights.
• At least 6 years’ experience in programme management and policy development.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN language is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation and monitoring of diversity and inclusion programmes in UN Women with stakeholders.
• Support implementation of Executive Board recommendations on organizational culture and anti-racism.
• Develop diversity analytics and reporting to highlight D&I impact.
• Develop and oversee an action plan to address racism and discrimination in the organization.
• Advise and support internal events on racial discrimination and other forms of discrimination.
• Collaborate on training programs and seminars on diversity and inclusion.
