Job summary

MSU Denver, through the Advising Systems team, supports academic advising technology and acts as a liaison for the undergraduate advising program. The role partners with the Advising Systems Coordinator for Technology and Support to manage data and system functionality used by advisors and staff.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting tech issues, maintaining SIS permissions, creating training materials, participating in new tech testing, and delivering user training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in a professional academic advisor position at a university or college.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using a Student Information System (e.g. Banner, Workday Student, PeopleSoft, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Data and Technology Support: troubleshoot issues, update AI content, manage SIS security permissions, respond to requests, create training materials, participate in testing, improve tech use for students and advisors, train staff.
• Advising Systems Support: coordinate training/events, maintain documents/workflows, handle inquiries, audit data, manage emails/voicemail, attend team meetings, serve on committees.
• Communication: maintain Academic Advising site content and SharePoint, inform advisory community of tech updates.
• Other duties as assigned.
