The College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center (CASA) provides comprehensive undergraduate advising to all first-year students majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences. CASA also supports transfer and readmitted students during the Winter and Summer advising periods.
The Advising Operations Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for the College of Arts and Sciences Advising (CASA) office, providing front-line support and assisting students, families, faculty, staff, and campus partners with questions, concerns, and advising-related needs. This position supports the Director and Associate Director by coordinating office communications regarding academic policies, procedures, and practices; providing timely and accurate assistance to students and making appropriate referrals to other University offices when needs fall outside CASA's scope of services; creating and reviewing student reports and coordinating advisor assignments for students served by the CASA Advising Center; and assessing CASA student services while identifying and planning for changes in equipment, funding, space utilization, technology, and human resource support to enhance office operations and the student experience.
