Job Title: Advertising Sales Manager Feed & Grain

SUMMARY
Responsible for B-2-B account management of marketing communication programs, digital advertising, digital event sponsorships and magazine display advertising.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and sells integrated B2B marketing programs across digital and magazine advertising, targeted audience solutions, content programs, webinars, video, events, and marketing services.
- Utilizes selling techniques, the WATT WAY, with prepared literature consistent with presenting the best practices adopted by the company.
- Develops sales strategy for all accounts utilizing Sales Enablement methods including pipeline management with specific value messaging to increase sales revenues.
- Creates customized proposals and sales presentations to support the sales objectives with industry information and value messaging options designed to provide individualized program for prospects and clients.
- Establishes SMART goals and objectives to increase page and revenue share with assigned accounts.
- Participates in scheduled training calls with sales consultant to improve and maximize selling skills.
- Participates in developing and contributing to value messaging for all products and services.
- Develops monthly plan for account coverage via in-person travel, attending industry meetings in person or remotely to maintain a consistent open dialog with clients and prospects.
- Ensures current sales materials are up to date including, market information, and complimentary / promotional lists, for use with clients and prospects. Shares information, i.e., PPT, with sales colleagues for consistent messaging to clients about products and services.
- Prospects on a consistent basis to build an actionable pipeline by reading competitive magazines, attending industry trade shows and meetings.
- Participates in regular sales reviews with the Director of Global Agrifood Sales to provide revenue forecasts, pipeline updates, competitive intelligence, and market insights that inform product planning, sales strategy, and account development.
- Maintains complete and accurate account, prospect, activity, pipeline and forecast information in the company CRM, including relevant client communications and sales opportunities, weekly.
- Maintains consistent customer service correspondence, conduct closing sales efforts and coordinate with production the retrieval of client materials as needed.
- Plans business travel in advance, obtains required approval, stays within budget, and submits expenses promptly through Expensify.
- Assist Accounting /Accounts Receivable department with credit and collection matters and consult with the Director of Global Agrifood Sales on steps to be taken.
- Collaborates with editors on appropriate client editorial support, including product and press releases, and shares relevant industry developments with editorial and sales leadership.
- Collaborates with other departments of the Company and other members of the sales force in a professional manner to help achieve the overall company objectives.
- Develops relationships with industry, trade, and professional groups as necessary in order fulfill Company objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts Degree with emphasis in Business, Marketing, or Advertising.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
Minimum five years direct sales experience – Marketing / Advertising / Communications with direct experience and knowledge of digital products and terminology, live and digital event sponsorships sales and magazine ad sales.
Proven record of account development and revenue goal attainment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook) Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, Naviga, Hubspot CRM, Trello, Viva Engage, Bamboo, and other programs as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Willingness and ability to effectively and responsibly use emerging technologies, including AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity etc), to enhance productivity and job performance.
