The position requires a J.D., NY Bar eligibility, and 4+ years in law. It offers a hybrid schedule and competitive benefits, with a salary range of $150,000-$185,000, plus bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Member of the New York State Bar or eligible to register as in-house counsel in New York.
• 4+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house.
• Experience in advertising, marketing, media, or entertainment law.
• Ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical legal advice on advertising campaigns, including risk assessments for senior executives.
• Review creative content for regulatory compliance, IP clearance, and guild considerations.
• Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including brand integration, custom content, sponsorship, and talent/influencer agreements.
• Support live events and experiential activations.
• Monitor legal developments affecting advertising and provide trainings/resources.
• Contribute to team-wide initiatives and cross-functional projects.
