Adventure Campout Operations Coordinator

Job summary

YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a Campout & Logistics Coordinator to coordinate the logistical and programmatic needs for our campout program. You will ensure the safety of campout sites, manage materials for camping, and that adventure trips are packed properly.

Under the Adventure Division Leader, you will help create a safe, fun, magical, and educational experience for campers and staff. We welcome all and value teamwork.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to obtain by June 2027.
• Willingness to work on a team in the support of the mission of camp.
• Ability to work with campers/guests of all backgrounds.
• At least age 20 by June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all campout materials including cookware, utensils, camp stoves, and fuel.
• Maintain logs for gear being used by camp staff
• Delivering food/supplies to campout sites during use
• Working with Adventure Division leader on maintaining food ordering and inventory
• Assist camp staff at campout sites with building fires, cooking food, and program activities.
• Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds.
• Create a magical experience for all campers/guest in program area.
• Support cabin leader staff when not in program area and fill in for cabin leaders at times.
• Serve as a role model, upholding our camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind always.
• Responsible for the health and well-being of the campers mentally, emotionally, and physically, during their time at camp
• Must approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
