Job summary

Mount Tamalpais College (MTC) seeks an Advancement Associate to support fundraising, stewardship, and donor engagement from our San Rafael office, with in-person work required two days per week.

You will manage donor records in Salesforce, generate queries and reports, log interactions, and support events and communications to keep operations accurate and timely while advancing our mission of expanding higher education access for incarcerated people, and ensure data integrity across campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–4 years of professional development/advancement or nonprofit coordination experience is helpful.
• Experience managing donor data and systems (Salesforce or similar CRM strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Log emails and interactions to support relationship tracking and future action planning
• Enter notes from donor meetings, site visits, lectures, and events
• Generate accurate queries, lists, and reports using Salesforce, selecting appropriate fields and filters based on business needs (mailings, communications, analytics, etc.)
• Collaborate with Advancement staff to ensure consistency and data integrity
• Support contract grant writers by maintaining accurate files and shared folders
• Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and hospitality for donor meetings, site visits, and stewardship events
