Job summary

The Pacific Council on International Policy in Los Angeles seeks an Advancement Manager to support fundraising, sustaining membership, and organizational priorities. You will work closely with the President & CEO to cultivate donors, members, institutional partners, and other stakeholders.

This hybrid role oversees prospect research, donor strategy, briefing materials, sustaining member billing, CRM management, and development operations, translating executive priorities into actionable next

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international relations, communications, business administration, nonprofit management, or related field.
• 3–5 years nonprofit advancement, development operations, prospect or grant research.
• Experience supporting a CEO, executive director, or senior development leader in managing high-level donor relationships.
• Familiarity with fundraising lifecycle, moves management, and donor stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prospect research to identify major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other institutional funding opportunities.
• Build and maintain qualified prospect pipelines to support member recruitment, donor programs, and sponsorships.
• Prepare comprehensive briefing materials for CEO donor and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage CEO donor engagement logistics, follow-through, and next-step coordination.
• Support grant writing from opportunity identification to reporting and stewardship.
• Track fundraising activity and coordinate across programs, membership, communications, and leadership.
