Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Blade Repair Services Technician II to support wind-energy operations in the United States. You will climb towers, perform composite blade repairs, and assist in maintenance across GE, Siemens, Vestas, Nordex turbines.

This role emphasizes safety, QA/QC, and collaboration within the ONE RWE team. The position requires 4+ years in power generation maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution.
• Must pass physical fitness tests required to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification; future fitness tests may be required.
• Must possess an unrestricted driver’s license in good standing.
• Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain an RWE-sponsored CDL if requested.
• GWO Certification preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in blade damage assessment and repair.
• Experience across multiple manufacturers (e.g. Siemens, GE, Vestas, Nordex).
• Experience with LEP systems.
• Previous Blade Access Platform and rigging experience preferred.
• Structured and organized, able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the company’s ONE RWE philosophy.
• Ensure all operation and maintenance activities are performed safely and with PPE.
• Climb wind towers and access turbines to perform blade repair and maintenance tasks.
• Lift, carry, and transport equipment and materials to the job site.
• Assist in mobilization of repair equipment to the site.
• Assist in major component replacement focusing on blades.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of Blade Repair Service equipment.
• Perform safety and wind farm tasks, fill in as needed at other sites.
• Complete QA/QC documentation accurately.
• Travel up to 100%, across multiple worksites, in variable weather.
