Johnson Controls is seeking a Welder II in Marinette, WI, to assemble and weld tank components per prints with extensive fixturing. The role requires handling hand and semi-automatic welding processes, meeting ASME and QC standards, and participating in safety and training programs.

Shift is 2nd, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday with overtime as needed. The position includes a competitive hourly rate of $27.16 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in all weld processes.
• Successful completion of 2G weld test.
• Successful completion of 4G weld test (1 hour familiarization permitted).
• Ability to learn & perform mag particle weld test.
• Proficient at reading prints.
• Work with small hand tools.

Responsabilités

• Set up component tank parts from prints using jigs and fixtures.
• Welds materials to form component parts for tanks following weld symbols.
• Measure, fit, tack, and weld components using short arc or stick welding and small tools.
• Grind shell to ensure proper joint before welding.
• Burn with torch or plasma arc per drawing, by hand or machine.
• Weld components to ASME code and QC standards, using appropriate welding equipment.
• Visually inspect welds for quality and compliance.
• Notify maintenance about welding machine issues.
• Perform tests or repairs on welds as needed.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in work area.
