Job summary

Chart Industries’ Fronti Fabrications in Palmerton, PA is hiring welders. Wages start up to $28.00 per hour, with overtime as needed. A welding certificate or 12 months of experience is required, and the ability to read drawings and follow specifications is essential.

You'll train and pass 6G GTAW, perform MIG/TIG on SS/aluminum with FCAW to ASME standards, and contribute from setup to final weld, including measurements and quality checks, in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a certificate/degree in welding from a certified technical college or 12 months of professional welding experience.
• Must train and pass a minimum of 6G level GTAW.
• GTAW B-31.3 on Aluminum pipe a plus, but not required.
• Must weld to x-ray quality at all times and when required, pass x-ray and dye penetrant check of welds.
• FCAW to ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld to required quality and identify materials per drawings and specs.
• Set up and operate welding machines and portable plasma cutter.
• Work from drawings and specifications, ensuring proper piece parts and identifications.
• Perform fit-checks prior to final assembly and rework as needed to meet drawings.
• Unloading and loading of fabricated equipment or in-house materials.
• Maintain shop housekeeping and a safe work area.
