Smeal Apparatus is seeking a Welder/Fabricator I to join our manufacturing team in Snyder, NE. You will perform metal arc welding on ladder components, read blueprints, and set up fixtures for efficient production while adhering to safety and quality standards.

We value the ability to read shop orders, operate welding equipment, and work across departments. Training will cover all company procedures, PPE requirements, and safe work practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Welding experience with aluminum and steel.
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Able to work collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal arc welding of ladder components and related parts.
• Set up fixtures and prep work for welding.
• Read blueprints and shop orders to guide fabrication.
• Operate welders and supporting tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain quality through sanding and finishing welds as required.
• Identify and place parts in designated areas.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and quality standards.
