Job summary

Canoo is seeking an Advanced Vehicle Engineer in Justin, TX to take concept projects from idea to fully functional EVs. You will work with engineering, suppliers, and design to push innovative product development in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Job Purpose

As an Advanced Vehicle Engineer, you will join a highly motivated team to bring concept projects from an idea to a fully functional vehicle. These fast‑paced projects require the ability to multitask and execute across multiple engineering disciplines, laying the foundation for all future production vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Work cross‑functionally with engineering, suppliers, and design to execute an innovative product that exceeds customer expectations while showcasing Canoo’s unique selling proposition.
  • Drive product evolution based on customer feedback and specific use‑cases.
  • Support the development of new, ground‑up concepts and vehicles.
  • Research relevant automotive trends and stay abreast of advancements in the electric vehicle landscape.
Required Experience
  • 4‑year higher education qualification in engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on automotive closures experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the automotive landscape, particularly electric vehicles.
  • Ability to work within a small, task‑focused, creative, agile team.
Preferred Experience
  • Engineer with an in‑depth understanding of complete vehicle systems.
Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Requirements

Employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods, occasionally bend or stoop, lift up to 10 pounds, and use a computer for extended periods.
