Job Purpose

As a Sr. Exterior Engineer, you will lead and inspire a highly motivated team of automotive engineers dedicated to bringing quality products to market on time, within budget and with exceptional quality. Y ou will work with internal design engineering, supplier quality, program management and purchasing teams and the chosen external suppliers to ensure a smooth transition from design to physical product.

Responsibilities (80s of the Position)

  • Lead & Develop of Exterior components.
  • Initiate cross-functional development to produce high quality design that meets requirements of the system as a whole.
  • Work with the studio team to provide feedback and generate A-surfaces that meet all DFM requirements while keeping with the theme of the vehicle.
  • Section development for to support development.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.
  • Proactively communicate issues to all other stakeholders

Required Experience

  • 4-year higher education qualifications (engineering or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of hands‑on automotive closures experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the automotive landscape, particularly EVs.
  • Ability to work within a small, task focused, creative, agile team.
  • Experience with Catia 3DX.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required.
