Job summary

The University of California- Davis Health Ultrasound Technologist performs routine and specialized diagnostic ultrasound examinations and interventional procedures for adult and pediatric patients, producing quality diagnostic images for physicians and other health care providers. The incumbent works independently, following established procedures with guidance from supervisors and radiologists.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required (RDMS/RDCS/RVT or equivalent)
• ARDMS Abdomen and/or OB/GYN certification preferred
• BLS or UC Davis Health CPR required
• Must demonstrate ability to operate ultrasound equipment and produce diagnostic images
• Ability to adapt to new equipment, software, and protocols
• Knowledge of anatomy, ultrasound physics, and pathology relates to diagnostics
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Ability to work independently and manage fluctuating workloads
• Experience with Epic, Visage, ClickView is a plus
