Job summary

TxDOT's Lubbock District is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Technician to perform routine roadway maintenance, operate light and some heavy equipment, and assist with traffic control and roadside repairs. This full-time role requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (A) with an N endorsement, and the ability to work onsite in Lubbock, TX.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with N endorsement.
• Experience with roadway maintenance, traffic-control devices and equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain light and heavy highway equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in roadway maintenance and repairs and provide traffic control.
• Install, inspect and maintain signs, delineators and posts; perform basic welding as needed.
• Assist with accident sites and provide aid to motorists as required.
• Perform PMI inspections and maintain required reports and records.
