Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform complex maintenance, service, and repair of trailers, containers, chassis, and related equipment.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete fleet maintenance per J.B. Hunt specifications, ensuring adherence to safety and warranty guidelines. The role requires experience in semi-trailer maintenance, DOT/FHWA inspections, and air brakes, with opportunities to mentor trainees and lead shift teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair.
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends.
• EPA 608 certification and Refrigeration License (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on trailers per OEM and company specs.
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and complete work orders efficiently.
• Mentor new technician trainees and coordinate shift support as team lead.
• Participate in OE training for repairs and maintain safety procedures.
