Job summary

E-Space in Arlington, TX is seeking a skilled Thin Film Solar Sputter operator/technician to support manufacturing of flexible PV modules. You will operate, monitor, and optimize roll-to-roll deposition and sputter coating systems, ensuring film thickness, uniformity, and process control.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree or hands-on manufacturing experience, 2+ years with web-based processing, and strong knowledge of vacuum, mechanical, and electrical production tools.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years experience with roll-to-roll or web-based processing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of web dynamics, tension control and substrate handling.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain roll-to-roll vacuum deposition and sputter coating systems.
  • Monitor process parameters to ensure film thickness, uniformity and alignment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on web-handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering to optimize and develop new processes.
  • Document steps, deviations and maintenance in production logs.
