Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Central Service Technician to support sterile processing in the perioperative environment. You will decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and store reusable surgical instruments for safety and efficiency in patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, supporting the sterile core, and complying with industry standards. Certification through IAHSCMM or CBSPD is required within one year of hire; nonexempt status applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of one year of sterile processing experience OR graduation from an accredited sterile processing program and eligible to sit for certification.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, sterilization, quality assurance testing, and storage of reusable surgical instruments.
• Maintain inventory and support the operating room team in the sterile core.
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, AAMI, IAHSCMM, AORN, OSHA, DOT, WHO, FDA, EPA and HIPAA standards.
