Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance technology or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Equivalent education and experience may include military training or technical/technician background.
• Recent experience as a Station Electrician or equivalent with another electric utility or contractor.

Responsibilities

• Work on energized equipment up to 260 volts with supervision on higher voltages.
• Select prints/drawings and use test equipment for station work.
• Disassemble, inspect, maintain, and repair transformers, breakers, and rotating machinery.
• Install conduit, cable, and wire; perform trenching, fencing, and safety signage tasks.
• Conduct inspections, read gauges, and perform start-run-stop tests on generators and motors.

Education

Associate degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance technology

Military training equivalent

Two-year associate degree electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance technology
