Job summary

HistoWiz, Inc is seeking a Research Associate for Advanced Staining & Immunohistochemistry (IHC) to independently perform IHC, IF, and ISH assays and contribute to assay development and optimization.

The ideal candidate has a background in histology and experimental design, with experience in antibody-based staining and FFPE tissues, and enjoys solving technical challenges in a collaborative setting with pathologists and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related life sciences.
• 2+ years of lab experience performing IHC, IF, histology, or related tissue-based assays.
• Experience with FFPE tissue specimens.
• Strong understanding of antibody-based staining techniques and tissue preparation.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform IHC, IF, ISH staining procedures according to SOPs.
• Prepare, stain, and process FFPE tissue sections with specimen integrity and traceability.
• Perform routine and advanced staining workflows to meet client turnaround times.
• Assist with routine IHC production as workload requires.
