Job summary

Duke Energy Florida is seeking a Solar Tech II to support multiple PV plant sites across the service territory, troubleshoot equipment issues, perform start-up support, and help maintain O&M programs. The role emphasizes field mobility, safe work practices, and hands-on problem solving.

This position requires living within 50 miles of a site, 12-hour rotating shifts, and the ability to travel 25-50%. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and relocation assistance may be provided in some cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of electrical maintenance or Solar PV Systems experience.
• Successful MASS test completed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, resolve equipment issues
• Design change requirements, and equipment modifications
• Scheduling maintenance, installation, and start-up support. Support existing equipment performance and reliability
• Support equipment testing schedules and assigning contract testers, technicians, and engineers to tasks
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and safety requirements
• Provides leadership to achieve safety results
