Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) to provide expert clinical support under physician or RN supervision. The role involves assisting with examinations, procedures, and admin tasks in compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and NCQA.

The Sr. MA also serves as a preceptor and clinical resource for Medical Assistants. The position requires CMA certification and BLS, and candidates should have extensive MA experience in complex or specialty care settings.

Qualifications

• Five years medical assistant experience with highly complex, chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
• Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language to perform essential functions.
• Knowledge of medical practice and care of patients and ability to assist with examinations, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
