Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join nights and provide respiratory therapies and diagnostics as ordered by physicians. You will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care, with leadership responsibilities possible during shifts.

Required licensure as an RCP, NBRC credential or eligibility, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and preferred NRP plus degree.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for state RCP license.
• RRT credentials required or must obtain within 3 months.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required on hire and current.
• PALS certification required on hire or within 60 days.
• NRP preferred; degree preferred; acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Assess, plan, implement and document patient care with age/population considerations.
• May serve as Lead RCP and oversee the section during shift.

Education

Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC or within 3 months of hire

BLS certification (AHA/ARC) upon hire and current

ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) upon hire and current

PALS certification (AHA) upon hire and current or within 60 days

Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred

Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

2 years acute care experience preferred
