Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry or related science.
• Four years of related clinical/research experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts standardized chemical, physical, and biological tests.
• Performs micro-analysis, lipids analysis, enzyme studies, and chromatographic studies.
• Sets up equipment and organizes materials used in testing.
• Prepares charts, graphs, and reports from research data.
• Isolates and identifies microorganisms using standard lab techniques.
• Trains graduate students and medical staff in procedures.
• Takes blood samples and other specimens per protocols.
• Inoculates research animals with pathogens and conducts minor surgeries.
• Collects tissues and specimens for analysis; prepares slides for microscopy.
• Reviews journals and publications for project-relevant information.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work.
