Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological and/or physical sciences with two years of related clinical/research experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's degree in biology or related physical science preferred.
• Requires knowledge of medical terminology and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Consults with principal investigator and assists in planning research experiments and data collection procedures.
• Modifies lab procedures and protocols to meet project needs.
• Prepares detailed reports and discusses results with the principal investigator.
• Reviews journals and literature for procedures and supplemental information.
• Conducts complex chemical, physical, and biological tests on samples.
• Performs micro-analysis, tepids analysis, enzyme studies, and chromatography on tissues and secretions.
• Supervises and trains students and junior technicians in lab work.
