Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida is seeking a dynamic IDEA College Prep Teacher to deliver rigorous high school instruction, implement state standards, and help students graduate college-ready. This role requires a Florida teaching certificate, a bachelor's degree, and a commitment to IDEA’s core values.

You will plan lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with families to support every scholar’s success. You will participate in weekly meetings, tutoring, and after-school duties, with 40+ hours

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institutions.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting preferred.
• Holding or pursuing Florida educator certification required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade-level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track progress and adjust plans weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Facilitate and utilize technology to improve student achievement and manage tasks.
• Establish a behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Contribute to school culture and build trust with students and families.
