Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated teacher for its Florida campuses to guide students through rigorous high school curriculum, including dual enrollment and AP/IB options. You will deliver instruction aligned to standards, maintain detailed lesson plans, and rigorously monitor student progress while engaging families weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Florida educator certification required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Certification program for non-certified IDEA teachers available to gain certification during teaching.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade-level curriculum and objectives.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress with formal and informal assessments; adjust lesson plans and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Utilize technology to improve student achievement and manage tasks.
• Establish and maintain a behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
