Independence Health System Inc. is seeking a skilled Registered Radiologist Assistant to join the Imaging team in a radiology department.

Under radiologist supervision, you will perform fluoroscopic and interventional procedures, assess patients, and provide preliminary interpretations to support diagnostic accuracy. Responsibilities include evaluating image quality, managing patient histories, monitoring vitals, and ensuring safe use of contrast.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologist Assistant program.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Radiology.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of legal aspects and liability in nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluoroscopic procedures under radiologist supervision.
• Assist radiologist with image-guided procedures.
• Evaluate imaging studies for quality and provide preliminary findings.
• Obtain patient histories and assess contraindications to procedures.
• Monitor vital signs during and after procedures.
• Administer contrast media and medications per policy.
• Explain procedures, risks and benefits to patients.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and promote safety.
• Document procedures and findings in the medical record.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and nurses.
