Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Registered Radiologist Assistant to provide advanced diagnostic imaging and assist with image-guided procedures under a radiologist's supervision. The role emphasizes ALARA principles, protocol adherence, and safety in fluoroscopy and related imaging services.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT(R) certification, and an RRA credential, with 2+ years in advanced imaging and strong collaboration within a radiologist-led team.

Qualifications

• Must have an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active ARRT registration in Radiography is required.
• RRA credential is required.
• Current state radiologic licensure/permit as applicable.
• Master’s degree or grandfathered Bachelor’s with RRA certification before 2023 is required.
• Minimum 2 years in advanced diagnostic imaging and procedures.
• BLS certification required within 6 weeks of hire.
• ACLS preferred unless not required by site/credentialing.
• Completion of abuse mandatory reporter training and other required trainings.
• Must work well in a radiologist-led, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Performs approved diagnostic fluoroscopic exams and related imaging under radiologist direction, maintaining image quality and safety.
• Evaluates imaging exams for appropriateness, readiness, and protocol alignment; escalates concerns as needed.
• Coordinates or administers contrast agents within scope and policies; monitors response and handles adverse events.
• Reports preliminary observations to the radiologist promptly and accurately, including designated exams.

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT registration in Radiography

RRA credential ARRT (R.R.A)

State licensure/permit to practice

Master’s degree or grandfathered Bachelor’s degree with RRA certification

Minimum 2 years advanced diagnostic imaging experience

BLS certification (within 6 weeks of hire)

ACLS preferred

Abuse mandatory reporter training

Collaborative radiologist-led team
