Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. is seeking a manufacturing/production associate in Rochester, MN. The role involves preparing products for systems assembly, verifying kits, labeling items, and performing hand soldering under supervision.

You will work with routings, document control, and data entry into production systems. We value attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to a 24/7 global operation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in basic SI assembly or equivalent.
• Good component recognition skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read documentation.
• Effective interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset.
• Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when representing the company.
• Ability to support a 24/7 global operation and overtime when needed.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product for systems level assembly including unpacking, setup, and final packaging.
• Verify kits, enter batch information, and label items per instructions.
• Use appropriate mats, tooling, and follow routings under supervision.
• Build subassemblies and perform system integration tasks.
• Enter data into PFS and link subassemblies to final units.
• Perform hand soldering and inspection per documented instructions.
• Ensure final units pass all required operations and inspections.
• Mentor lesser qualified operators and assist with prototypes.
• Record quantities in Operations Complete (Baan) as required.
• Maintain quality to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
