Job summary

BAC is seeking an Advanced Designer to contribute to new product development and maintenance, delivering designs mindful of manufacturability, cost, and speed to market. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to refine components and assemblies while optimizing BOM structures.

Ideal candidates bring strong CAD skills (Inventor/AutoCAD), experience in manufacturing, and a cost-conscious mindset to drive efficient, mistake-proof designs within a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• CAD design experience: 3+ years or a Bachelor's with 1+ year experience.
• Associates Degree or CAD certificate preferred or 3+ years (4000 hrs.) hands-on CAD experience.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and familiar with manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design complex sub-assemblies and modules per design intent.
• Assess impact on subsystems to optimize design choices.
• Support prototype and pilot builds and customer orders.
• Assist cost-out opportunities and product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Project management.
• Estimate scope of work and maintain detailed records.
