Astrya Global Medical Staffing is sourcing a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA) for a locum tenens assignment in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The role supports a cardiothoracic surgery department and requires prior CVOR experience and board certification.

The schedule is typically 2:00 PM–10:00 PM for 5 days per week with potential call rotation; the assignment runs 13 weeks with possible extension. Compensation is $135–$146 per hour plus benefits.

Formación

• Minimum 1–2 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience, with at least one year as a first assist in a CVOR
• Maintain active board certification and valid state licensure
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications; maintain active DEA registration
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Responsabilidades

• Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with potential call rotation
• Support surgeons, PA-Cs, and RNs in a cardiothoracic surgery department
• Examine patients, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform technical, clinical, and surgical procedures as required
• Document patient progress and surgical care using Epic EMR system
• Perform endoscopic saphenous vein harvests and radial artery harvests
• Place and remove chest tubes and catheters
• Intubate and extubate patients as needed
• Place and remove central lines and arterial lines
• Utilize robotic surgical equipment; robotic lung experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities for a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA)

• Work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with potential call rotation
