Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a 13-week assignment in Pasadena, California. The SNP will support a breast surgeon in clinic, pre-op, and post-op settings within an Outpatient Surgery/Oncology department.

Typical schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, five days per week, with potential for extension. EPIC EMR experience and active California NP licensure are required, along with BLS/ACLS and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of surgical or oncology experience.
• Active California state NP license required.
• Board certification in applicable specialty required.
• Active DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• Credentialing completed within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Support breast surgeon in clinic, pre-op, and post-op settings in Outpatient Surgery/Oncology.
• See ~10 adult patients per day in clinic and hospital settings.
• Document and chart using EPIC EMR system.
• Work Monday to Friday with four 10-hour shifts, flexibility for five 8-hour shifts.
• Collaborate with medical assistants, front office staff, and LVNs.
• Maintain current California state licensure.
• Maintain current board certification in applicable specialty.
• Maintain active DEA registration.

Pay Rate: $130 - $140/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a temporary assignment in Pasadena, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):

• Support breast surgeon in clinic, pre-op, and post-op settings within an Outpatient Surgery/Oncology department
• See an average of 10 adult patients per day in a clinic/private practice and hospital setting
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and charting
• Work Monday through Friday on a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, with flexibility for five 8-hour shifts
• Collaborate with support staff including medical assistants, front office staff, and LVNs
• Maintain active California state licensure
• Maintain current board certification in applicable specialty
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of experience with a surgical or oncology background
• Provide three (3) professional references from the same specialty area with exposure to clinical practice within the last 2 years
• Provide one (1) authoritative source reference able to attest to current clinical competence within the last 2 years
• Complete credentialing process within the required 60-day timeframe
