Astrya Global Medical Staffing is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a 26-week assignment in San Francisco, CA. The SNP will provide advanced practice care for cranial/skull surgery patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role involves 75% inpatient and 25% outpatient duties, solo outpatient visits when needed, and collaboration with the attending physician and RN team. Requires CA NP certification, CA license, DEA, BLS, and COVID vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold NP board certification in applicable specialty and CA license.
• Active California DEA license with full schedules.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• COVID-19 vaccination as required by employer.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice care for cranial/skull surgery patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Manage a mixed inpatient (about 75%) and outpatient (about 25%) caseload.
• Conduct solo outpatient visits and attend-supported visits as needed.
• Assist attending physician with clinic procedures.
• Support patient message responses with the RN team.
• Perform inpatient and outpatient procedures as indicated.
• Maintain pre- and post-operative patient care standards.
• Use Epic EMR for accurate clinical documentation.
• Manage 8–12 patients per day and ensure high-quality care.

Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)

Location: San Francisco, California

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5

Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $156 - $168/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a temporary assignment in San Francisco, California. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):

• Provide advanced practice care for cranial/skull surgery patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage an inpatient caseload comprising approximately 75% of overall clinical duties
• Manage an outpatient caseload comprising approximately 25% of overall clinical duties, primarily post-operative check-ins
• Conduct solo outpatient visits as needed in addition to attending-supported visits
• Assist attending physician with clinic procedures as requested
• Support patient message responses in collaboration with the RN care team
• Perform inpatient procedures including pulling drains and lumbar punctures
• Perform outpatient procedures including removing stitches and fixing shunts
• Maintain strong pre-operative and post-operative patient care skills
• Manage a patient volume ranging from 8 to 12 patients per day
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Maintain current NP board certification (ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC)
• Maintain valid California state license and California DEA with full schedules (2/2n)
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements including booster
