Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified NP or PA to provide urgent care services in a walk-in center in Virginia. The role involves health assessments, prescribing treatments, and performing procedures under physician supervision.

Requirements include a Master's degree, licensed NP/PA, DEA, BLS, and ACLS; DOT preferred. Expect 12-hour shifts with weekend/evening availability and potential relocation between regional Urgent Care locations.

Qualifications

• Master's level degree as NP or PA is required.
• Active NP/PA state license is required.
• DEA certification is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.
• DOT certification is highly preferred.
• 1–2 years of urgent, immediate, or emergency care experience.
• NRCME is not required at offer but expected within 30 days.
• Prescriptive authority for VA staff only.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to move between regional Urgent Care locations.
• Ability to work independently under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction and supervision of assigned physicians under a collaborative agreement
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities
• Participate in team activities
• Use human and material resources appropriately
• Acquire special clinical competencies as required
• Participate in utilization management activities
• Assist with risk management functions
• Work a minimum of 2 shifts per month
• Work 8- or 12-hour shifts depending on the day of the week
