Job summary

The University of Colorado Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at the Instructor rank. The APP will join adult health teams across multiple CU sites, including Highlands Ranch and UCHealth facilities, with teaching and research opportunities.

This full-time position emphasizes clinical practice, education, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, Colorado.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with PA license.
• Meets requirements of Nursing Credential Review Board.
• Current BLS certification or within six months of hire.
• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to spine and rehabilitation patients (minimum 8 clinic sessions per week).
• Coordinate follow-up with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate appointments with PT, OT, nutrition, orthopedics, and neurosurgery.
• Participate in teaching, research, and professional development activities.
• Attend academic meetings and work with other APPs in the department.
