Eskenazi Health is seeking an Advanced Practice RN (APRN) for Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) to educate, advocate and care for patients undergoing perioperative clearance.   • Complete history and physicals for patients undergoing elective surgeries.
  • Optimize comorbidities of patients undergoing elective surgeries.
  • Perform risk stratification for patients undergoing elective surgeries.
  • Order and interpret EKGs, labs, imaging and cardiac diagnostic testing.
  • Obtain accurate medication reconciliations and provide perioperative medication management.
  • Consult with anesthesia, surgery and internal medicine as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Refer patients to various specialties as needed for further preoperative evaluation and optimization.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Master of Science degree.
  • Current Indiana license or eligible for one.
  • Collaborative agreement with affiliated physician group.
  • Current Indiana Controlled Substance and Drug Enforcement Registration.

The Advanced Practice RN (APRN) -Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) works as an educator, advocate and care provider and is responsible for the care and well-being of patients being seen for perioperative care and medical clearance.

  • Complete history and physicals for patient’s undergoing elective surgeries
  • Optimize comorbidities of patient’s undergoing elective surgeries
  • Perform risk stratification for patient’s undergoing elective surgeries
