Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for the Neuroscience Clinic 1L to work in collaboration with attending physicians, collect data, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order labs and coordinate patient care, with primary hours Monday through Friday, day shift and on-call rotation for emergent cases.

We require Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with NC licensure; BLS; and 1+ years APP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required or strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required for PA track; Master's preferred.
• Licensure as NP in NC or PA certification in NC with current license.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians.
• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
• Document patient progress and coordinate care with supervising physicians.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Attend multispecialty meetings and participate in teaching.
