Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) to join an ICU team at a community hospital in Needham, MA.

You will work with intensivists, surgeons, hospitalists, and nurses on a fast-paced unit on a 36-hour rotating full-time schedule with a $10,000 sign-on bonus (restrictions apply). Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited PA or NP program, MA licensure as an NP or PA, BLS and ACLS, and 0–1 years ICU experience (ICU experience preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited PA/NP program.
• Massachusetts license as PA or NP required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 0–1 years ICU experience preferred.
• Vaccination against influenza required.
• Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete histories and physical exams; coordinate treatment plans with intensivists.
• Perform ICU procedures including central/arterial lines and NG tubes.
• Manage ICU admissions and orders; lead or participate in daily rounds; document in EMR.
• Discharge planning and referrals; support patients and families.

Job Details:

• Join a collaborative, patient-centered ICU team working closely with intensivists, surgeons, hospitalists, and nurses in a fast-paced environment
• 36-hour rotating full-time schedule
• $10,000 sign-on bonus eligible (restrictions apply)
• Complete patient histories and physical exams, assess patient progress, and coordinate treatment plans with intensivists
• Perform procedures including central lines, arterial lines, NG/enteral tubes, bladder catheterization, phlebotomy/IVs, and EKGs
• Manage ICU admissions and orders, lead or participate in daily rounds, and document in the EMR
• Handle discharge planning, referrals, and provide compassionate support to patients and families
• Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited 2-year PA or NP program required
• Current Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 0-1 years of experience required; ICU experience preferred
• Ages served: Young Adult (16-30), Middle Age (30-60), Elderly (60+)
• Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork skills required
• All staff must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment
