Job summary

Northeast Georgia ENT in Gainesville, GA is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to deliver high-quality patient care in ENT and Allergy clinics. Under moderate supervision, you will evaluate patients, manage follow-ups, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice.
  • Master’s degree required.
  • Experience in outpatient care, preferably ENT or Allergy.
  • Strong communication and patient-safety focus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients, obtain histories, and perform follow-up assessments.
  • Perform focused head/neck exams and document findings clearly.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans with physician collaboration.
  • Prescribe medications within scope and order appropriate tests.
  • Coordinate care across the team and communicate with patients.
  • Handle immunotherapy-related situations with physician input.
  • No weekend or holiday call required.

P osition Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within our ENT and Allergy clinics. This position provides comprehensive support in case management, follow-up care, and patient communication. Working under moderate supervision, the APP evaluates and manages patients with upper respiratory, allergy, asthma, and dermatologic conditions while collaborating closely with clinic physicians in complex cases to ensure optimal outcomes. This a full-time role, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including interval histories and assessments for follow-up visits.
  • Perform focused physical examinations of the head, neck, ears, nose, throat, chest, and skin as clinically appropriate.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring all care is documented clearly and communicated effectively with patients.
  • Provide clinical assessments and formulate differential diagnoses related to ENT and allergy conditions.
  • Prescribe medications within prescriptive authority, including antihistamines, decongestants, mucolytics, bronchodilators, inhaled and oral steroids, and antibiotics.
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, radiology, CT scans, and audiograms.
  • Assist in managing and treating reactions related to immunotherapy, seeking physician consultation for cases of greater severity.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians for consultation in complex or difficult cases, whether in person or by phone.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted licensure as aNurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA)in the state of practice.
  • Certification through an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting, preferably in ENT or Allergy.
  • Strong clinical skills, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • APP must be able to provide patient care for all age demographics.
  • Eligible for hospital privileges.
