Job summary

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group in The Woodlands, TX seeks a Neurosurgery APP (NP/PA) to manage pre-op and post-op neurosurgical patients in clinic and coordinate follow-up. The role emphasizes evidence-based neurosurgical care, thorough neurological assessments, and sound clinical judgment.

First-assist duties may be available 2 days per week if trained, with weekend rounding as needed. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited NP or PA program with national board certification,

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program with national board certification.
  • Active or eligible state license and DEA in the state of Texas, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • Ability to independently evaluate patients in clinic, including triaging surgical vs. conservative care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage neurosurgery patients in clinic with established neurosurgery provider.
  • Role may include first-assist duties up to 2 days per week if trained.
  • Triage referrals and identify patients suitable for conservative treatment or timely surgical evaluation.
  • Weekend rounding at least once per month.
  • Work with Epic EMR and participate in a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Neurosurgery APP, you will join our growing practice at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group in The Woodlands, TX. You will play a pivotal role in the success and development of our practice.


Every day you will manage neurosurgical patients through pre-op and post-op care, neurological assessments, and coordinated follow-up.


To be successful in this role, you will deliver evidence-based neurosurgical care with meticulous neurological assessment, sound clinical judgment, and consistent follow-through.



  • You will independently evaluate and manage patients in clinic, supported by an established neurosurgery provider.

  • Role would involve primarily seeing patients in clinic. However, if trained as first-assist, the opportunity is available 2 days per week.

  • Role involves serving as primary contact for most spine consultations, helping triage referrals and identify the majority who can be effectively managed with conservative treatments such as physical therapy, while ensuring that surgical candidates receive timely evaluation.

  • APP should be comfortable rounding at least one weekend per month.
