We are seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) based in the Mt Holly area. Travel may be required to other offices.

You will work closely with a highly sub-specialized Neurosurgery group and support pre-, intra-, and post-operative care. As an APP, you will perform histories, help with treatment plans, assist in surgery as first assistant, conduct rounds, order radiographic studies, and manage post-operative care while maintaining HIPAA compliance and delivering compassionate

We are searching for compassionate and energetic i ndividuals to join our team! We are seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) based in our Mt Holly office. Travel may be required to other offices. We are a private practice where you will work closely with our highly sub-specialized group of Neurosurgeons. General Job Summary:

Advanced practice providers on our team play an integral role in the global management of neurosurgical patients, including all aspects of pre-, intra- and post-operative care. Neurosurgery APPs perform patient histories, help with treatment plans, manage post-operative care, and handle myriad office-related duties and you will work under the supervision of the Neurosurgeons.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
  • Interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Interprets and correlates subjective and objective data
  • Formulates a differential diagnosis and establishes a working diagnosis
  • Develops a treatment plan for neurosurgical conditions within the scope of practice and in conjunction with the neurosurgeon
  • Implements therapeutic intervention for specific conditions where appropriate
  • Exercises judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the supervising neurosurgeon or other healthcare professionals
Office & Hospital Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Sees all new office patients and completes a thorough history and physical examination that is problem-oriented for neurosurgical conditions
  • First assistant at surgery
  • Rounds and Consults at Hospitals
  • Takes Call
  • Presents the patient to attending neurosurgeons
  • Helps to formulate treatment plans
  • Orders appropriate radiographic studies
  • Evaluates post-operative patients and does routine follow-up visits
  • Is available to see patients requiring same-day office visits
  • Returns patient phone calls
  • Handles prescription refills
  • Reviews radiographic reports and laboratory reports for abnormalities
  • Reviews x-rays, MRIs and CT scans of hospitalized patients and office patients with the attending neurosurgeon
  • Evaluates, screens and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resources
  • Designs, conducts and/or participates in research studies
  • Manages databases
  • Performs quality assurance
  • Complies with all of our processes and HIPAA regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned by changing needs, patient flow, or physician request.
