Job summary

UF Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider IV (APP IV) licensed in Florida and/or Georgia to deliver direct patient care under physician supervision in inpatient, ICU, clinics, OR, Labor & Delivery and emergency/hospital settings. The APP IV will provide care across multiple high-acuity environments and collaborate with a broad clinical team.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner license required or at time of hire.
• Physician Assistant license required at time of hire.
• BCLS required at time of hire.
• ACLS preferred at time of hire; PALS preferred at time of hire.
• DEA license within 90 days of hire for new grads in orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with high-complexity procedures in multiple settings including OR and ED.
• Provide education and instruction as needed.
• Monitor devices and manage pre-/post-operative care within scope.
• Conduct high-level evaluation, history taking, exams, and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Develop comprehensive health management plans with clinicians and staff.
• Participate in program development, quality improvement, and research activities.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR and ensure compliance with billing guidelines.
• Educate and counsel patients and families; handle discharge planning and routine procedures.
• Participate in meetings and interdisciplinary teams; flexible call coverage as needed.
