Summary

Make a meaningful impact in oncology care at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center! In this role, you’ll provide expert evaluation, treatment, and management of patients across both acute and chronic phases of illness. From assessing symptoms and interpreting diagnostic tests to developing personalized treatment plans and prescribing medications, you’ll play a vital role in guiding patients through every step of their medical journey. Starting annual salary of $112,528, plus an additional geographical differential of $8,510, for a total of $121,038. This position also offers a full comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications
  • Required Education and Experience
  • Nurse Practitioner Educational Path
    • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
    • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification
    • Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA)
    • Master’s or higher-level degree in Nursing
  • Physician Assistant Educational Path
    • License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York
    • Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department
    • Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies
    • Bachelor’s or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department
  • The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.
  • NOTE: As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) within nine (9) months of their appointment to this title as required by Medicare.
  • NOTE: As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
  • Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
  • Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a Dermatology Clinic.
